Concordia University is in the midst of the most ambitious fundraising campaigns in its history. A key component of this major institutional campaign is to grow fundraising performance, increase and sustain volunteer and alumni engagement and build advancement and alumni relations capacity within and beyond the University. Fundraising results have grown significantly and consistently over the last 5 years. We are seeking a Principal Director of Development, Arts and Science to join a dynamic team of development professionals to create and implement a strategic approach to fundraising in the Faculty of Arts and Science. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Development, with an indirect report to the Dean of the Faculty, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and executing all fund development activities and will direct the cultivation of prospective donors and the solicitation of gifts from alumni, corporations, foundations, friends, faculty and staff. Scouts Canada is seeking a strategic Director, Development to join our team in our National Office in Ottawa! Passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth, you will use your fundraising experience, talent for connecting with people and exceptional communication skills to translate our work into a compelling and inspiring story for our donors and sponsors. Scouts Canada promises youth, parents and the community at large that “It Starts with Scouts”. Scouts aims to provide youth with opportunities to experience new things and develop into capable and well-rounded individuals. We are looking for a Director of Development to provide leadership in managing the goals of the Development Department with a focus on executing the fundraising strategy, specifically building on and growing our Foundation, Corporate, Sponsorship, Major Gift, Individual Giving, Planned Giving, Government and Group Fundraising Programs and Scouts Canada’s national fundraiser and popcorn campaign. In collaboration with key volunteers, you will execute design and implement a revenue development strategy, build an annual fundraising campaign with a focus on major gifts and manage and oversee special fundraising events. Your experience and success in the areas of Foundations, Government Relations, Individual Giving, Planned Giving and national fundraisers ideally positions you to coach and mentor the Development team as you work together in accomplishing the plan.
