STARS is proud to have flown more than 33,000 missions since 1985.  The entire STARS team is dedicated to delivering our long-standing vision of saving lives through partnership, innovation and leadership.  Partnering with community services, STARS continues to deliver exceptional emergency care and transport from six bases across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, including Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.

Executive Vice President (EVP) – STARS Foundation

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the EVP Foundation is responsible for managing the operations of the STARS Foundation to raise funds from private, public and corporate sectors across western Canada. 

The EVP Foundation will be responsible for providing leadership to the Foundation team in developing and executing multi-year, multi-provincial fundraising strategy, building and increasing fundraising efforts, leading a capital campaign as well being responsible for fundraising programs including Major Gifts, Internal and External Events, Planned Giving and Community Giving (Direct Mail, Annual and Monthly Giving).  The successful candidate will bring a minimum of ten years’ experience in progressively senior leadership roles along with existing strong relationships with potential donors and experience creating and executing a fundraising strategy that includes both annual and capital campaigns. 

We seek a highly motivated, results oriented leader with proven relationship building skills along with mastery level fundraising expertise and negotiating skills to join our team.  The successful candidate will have a University degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field, MBA and CFRE designation will be considered an asset.  This position will be located in Calgary and will require regular travel to other STARS bases in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
