Opening Plenary Speaker
Fundraising Day is an educational event that attracts a diversified audience of fundraising professionals who come to this conference looking to connect with colleagues, gain insight from our session speakers and be inspired.
Registration will be open February 1st, 2018.
All Track Sessions will be available to review at that time…
But to get your engine started, our plenary speaker is:
Alice Ferris, MBA, CFRE, ACFRE,
Founding partner of GoalBusters and current/2018 president of the AFP Northern Arizona Chapter, Alice has more than twenty-five years of professional fundraising experience, not including her tenure as the “top cookie salesperson” in Girl Scouts.
Alice started her fundraising career as a volunteer at Wisconsin Public Television in Madison, Wisconsin, blowing bubbles onto the set during pledge breaks for the Lawrence Welk Show, which launched a nearly thirty year affiliation with public broadcasting.
Currently, as part of her services in outsourced development for small nonprofits, Alice is Director of Development for KAWC Colorado River Public Media in Yuma, Arizona, and administrative director for KGHR Navajo Public Radio in Tuba City, Arizona. Alice also teaches Marketing and Communications for Philanthropy and Development for the Masters in Philanthropy and Development at LaGrange College in Georgia.
When not fundraising, Alice is typically found on planes, in airports, or in restaurants taking pictures of her food. Alice teaches occasional classes in Chinese cooking and is a retired competition ballroom dancer. She is also a slow runner, except when chasing a tight connection at an airport.
