Donate - Every Member Campaign

Thanks to our AFP Ottawa members who once again allowed us to exceed our goal by contributing a total of $5,235. 

The 2013 campaign is underway and we have a new goal to reach of $6,200.  Our Board is again leading the way with 100% participation.  Please join us. Its easy to make a donation on line and even easier to make pre-arranged affordable monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual  contributions through EMC Campaign’s Alpha Society which allows for pre-authorized bank or credit card deductions. 

AFP is at the forefront in providing education to volunteer and professional fundraisers who benefit from access to practical knowledge that enhances their skills and abilities.  Bringing ethical practice to life is a key role of AFP.  The Ottawa Chapter of AFP strives to provide varied and useful educational opportunities to our members through webinars, breakfast sessions and Fundraising Day.  Your donation to the Every Member Campaign helps to ensure access to quality training and high calibre speakers.

What is the AFP Every member Campaign (EMC)?

Every year, the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy - Canada, with the help of chapters coast to coast, conducts an Every Member Campaign encouraging all members to donate to their fundraising association. The Ottawa Chapter is proud to be a part of this initiative and to have generous members who care about the well-being of the profession.

The programs funded by this campaign support professional fundraisers in the National Capital Region and throughout the country by raising resources to offer education and training, and increase the public's awareness of philanthropy and understanding of fundraising.

Well-trained fundraisers and an enlightened public will result in increased funding for the many non-profit organizations serving Canadian communities in need.

Each chapter sets an ambitious goal for the amount raised by its own members.  If the chapter goal is reached, 25% of the funds raised through the chapter can be awarded back to that region to advance goals in keeping with the campaign objectives - another reason to participate generously, so that our own area can benefit along with the rest of Canada!
